We have managed to accomplish an old plan. We have created an eight-part educational mini-video series in which we talk to Dr. Ida Kutv\u00f6lgyi,<\/strong> a dental specialist, about the use of OPTIKOP soft laser devices in dental practice. <\/p>\n

We look at the problems and diseases in dentistry where soft laser therapy can be used with excellent results (oral surgery, caries, periodontology, oral diseases, diseases of the masticatory joint, etc.).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/section>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t

Historical overview<\/h3>\n

In the first part we give a historical overview of the soft laser. Endre Mester, a Hungarian physician, is credited with the discovery of the soft laser (1966). He is the pioneer of laser light therapy in Hungary.
We also discuss the effects and benefits of soft laser therapy. Soft laser therapy stimulates the production of ATP in mitochondria, which provides energy to the cell. The various cellular changes produce tissue effects: improved microcirculation, cellular metabolism, cell division, and thus the therapeutic effects felt by the patient: pain relief, inflammation reduction and biostimulation (exfoliation, ossification).
The doctor also demonstrates her own soft laser devices in the video.<\/p>\n

Oral surgery<\/h3>\n

In the second part, Dr. Ida Kutv\u00f6lgyi, a dental specialist, explains what OPTIKOP soft laser devices can be used for in the field of oral surgery.
Dentists most often use soft laser therapy to reduce inflammation and for oral surgery (tooth extraction, surgery). It is a great help in the prevention of complications, but also in the treatment of those that do occur.
The treatment is painless, not at all time-consuming and in many cases the improvement is immediate. <\/p>\n

Periodontology<\/h3>\n

In the third part, Dr. Ida Kutv\u00f6lgyi, dentist, talks about periodontal treatments.
Very few dentists use soft laser therapy as an adjunct treatment for periodontal diseases, even though all the benefits of soft laser can be used in periodontology. It is excellent for reducing pain and inflammation, and can also be used to re-solidify moving teeth. <\/p>\n

Cariology<\/h3>\n

In the fourth part of our video series, we will talk specifically about teeth and their treatment with soft laser (cervical sensitivity, tooth decay, tooth grinding, etc.).
Dental surgery is always a traumatic experience for a patient, often accompanied by a feeling of discomfort. This can be reduced with soft laser therapy.

Oral diseases<\/h3>\n

Oral diseases (e.g. aphthae, herpes) are the second area where soft laser therapy is most commonly used by dentists. The aim is to reduce pain and speed up healing.
Oral diseases can be divided into the following categories:
– an oral disease related to an underlying disease, and the symptoms of which appear in the mouth (the underlying disease must be treated!)
– independent diseases of the mouth

– what the patient feels during soft laser therapy,
– She also discusses when soft lasers should not be used for oncological diseases. <\/p>\n

Diseases of the masticatory joint<\/h3>\n

Pain and limited mouth opening can be treated with soft laser therapy. Improvement is usually felt after one treatment.

Antimicrobial photodynamic therapy<\/h3>\n

In the seventh part, Dr. Ida Kutv\u00f6lgyi, a dental specialist, explains the difference between photodynamic therapy and antimicrobial photodynamic therapy. She explains how soft laser therapy can reduce the number of bacteria.
She also talks about how soft laser therapy makes her job easier.<\/p>\n

Endodontics<\/h3>\n

In the last part of our video series we will talk about root canal treatment.
Soft laser therapy is also very useful for root canal treatment when pain needs to be relieved. The effect is immediate. It is also excellent for relieving inflammation of the root canal. In both cases, the device is placed on the root tip and illuminated.
Dr. Ida Kutv\u00f6lgyi, a dental specialist, explains in the video what to look out for when using the device and demonstrates the treatment on a patient.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
