The lasers of MedLaser Family have been in daily use since 1989 in dentistry, rheumatology, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, dermatology, general medicine, Otorhinolaryngology, paediatrics, urology, veterinary medicine, for solving certain neurological problems, and also in the beauty industry (cosmetology). The company is a small manufacturing firm, and its size gives the opportunity to be flexible and create innovative, customized devices for special use cases. I graduated as a physicist at Loránd Eötvös University of Science in 1971. From 1971 to 1989 I worked in the Research Institute for Electrical Industry. Initially I dealt with the physics of industrial plasmas and then with the optical measurement of the properties of these plasmas. From 1976 I was group leader of the laser laboratory and from 1983 I acted as scientific department head. I published about 40 scientific papers on the subject, part of them written with co-authors. In 1989 the Research Institute disintegrated into several parts, as an accessory circumstance of the political regime change. Subsequently, I was the head of one of the independent units for two years. Since 1992, with the exception of the transition period between 2009 and 2012, I have been developing and manufacturing laser diode based laser devices for medical purposes in the framework of an independent venture. Since 1992, I have been teaching the diode lasers subject at different accredited postgraduate medical training courses. I have given several lectures on the safety and legal aspects of the medical applications of lasers.

Dr. Judit Horváth graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of Semmelweis University of Medical Sciences. First she worked as an occupational physician and then from 1983 as a panel (family) doctor; currently she is a family doctor in Budapest. In 1988 she passed a specialist examination in general medicine (currently called general medical practice), then in 1990 she successfully passed a theoretical and practical examination in acupuncture. In 1998 she passed a specialist examination in occupational medicine. She has been dealing with soft laser therapy since 1991. She is also a teacher of this subject; initially (from 1996) she conducted this activity under the aegis of the Department of General Medical Practice of Semmelweis University, and since 2002 in the framework of accredited medical postgraduate training courses (Soft laser therapy in the medical practice). Her textbook written on soft laser therapy was first published in 1994, the second edition appeared in 1996, and then the book was again published in 2003, 2009 and 2017. Dr. Judith Horváth was Vice President of the Hungarian Medical Soft Laser Society (Hungarian acronym: MOLLT) from the foundation (1995) to the cessation (2007) of the Society. She also acted as responsible editor of the journal Lágylézer Terápia [Soft Laser Therapy]. In 2002 she was elected into the Scientific Teaching Committee of the European Medical Laser Association (EMLA), in which she participated up to the year 2007.
‘Dentists need lasers of multiple different wavelengths so that they can offer comprehensive laser treatments for their patients. The teeth, the joints, the mucous membranes and surgical interventions all require a laser of different wavelength.
The fact that all these different wavelengths are provided by the same device makes the treatments much easier and considerably shortens the treatment times.
For dental clinics with a high patient turnover it is a must to have a combined laser.’Dr. Ida Kútvölgyi, Dental Specialist
‘I have been using the device developed by MedLaser Family for nearly six months. My interest was caught primarily by the advanced features offered by the device and secondly by its favourable price/value ratio. It is my firm belief that in this second aspect the device is ‘unbeatable’ on the market.
The device offers all the features that may be needed in an average dental practice. I personally find it very useful in paediatric dentistry (e.g. for frenulectomy in a child- and parent-friendly manner).
I also use it for dental surgery interventions and also for supporting the healing process… and all these uses are offered by a single device!
The patients’ feedback is definitely positive.
The device is easy to use, its design is practical. It is good to work with!’Dr. Anita Fáber, Dental Specialist, Paediatric Dentist
